Our workpackage "Web services for digital content access and existing content profiling" developed ontology and reasoning components for SmartMuseum. SmartMuseum won the The United Nations based World Summit Award Mobile (WSA-Mobile) in the category m-Tourism & Culture on November 9th, 2010.
  • Project manager and researcher in developing Finnish spatio-temporal ontology (SAPO, Suomen ajallinen paikkaontologia) that represents knowledge about changes (merges, splits) in historical regions (cities, counties). SAPO has been published in the Finnish Ontology Library Service ONKI (www.yso.fi). SAPO is constantly updated as new changes occur concerning regions.
  • Leader and researcher in the work package on geospatial ontologies and reasoning methods of FinnONTO, with special emphasis on handling large spatiotemporal linked data.
